The International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8, is a day set aside to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is also a day to raise awareness about the ongoing struggles women face in achieving gender equality. In line with this year’s theme, “Digit All: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality,” One Tribe Initiative marked the day by organizing a two-day intensive digital training for businesswomen in Kaduna in partnership with Low Income Financial Transformation (L-IFT), Jennifer Etuh Foundation (JEF) CIDEC, Thinkers Children Foundation and Legal Awareness for Nigerian Women.
At One Tribe Initiative, we are committed to empowering young people and women in Nigeria by providing them with the necessary tools and resources to achieve their full potential. We also recognize that gender equality is a fundamental human right and that women’s empowerment is essential to the overall development of any society.
The training program, which was held on March 28 and 29, 2023, was aimed at equipping women in Kaduna with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the digital world and leverage its opportunities to grow their businesses. The program covered various topics, including social media marketing, website development, e-commerce, and phone photography.
The program also focused on the importance of networking and collaboration as a means of building a support system for women in business.
The program featured seasoned experts in digital marketing and e-commerce who shared their experiences and success stories with the participants. They also provided practical tips and advice on how to build a successful online business.
Our digital training program is an excellent example of how digital technology can be used to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. In a world that is increasingly becoming digital, it is essential that women are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the digital world and leverage its opportunities to achieve their full potential.
The event was successful in achieving its objectives, and the impact was evident in the feedback received from the participants. They expressed their gratitude for the informative session and skills they acquired.
